Payment terms

Website creation and updates, website redesign, marketing and programming work

For all new website design work we require a 30% deposit at the start of the project. If the design work progresses from some initial artwork through to a working HTML website version, or we produce the HTML version initally, we  ask for a further 20% making a 50% payment in total. This 50% payment will due on or before 30 days from the date your initial deposit was paid.  It is our aim to finish this initial process within a 30 day period, however we understand that this may not always be practical.  Where the site development goes beyond the first 30 days, we will then ask for a further 25% payment at 60 days and the final payment  of 25% in a further 30 days. This allows up to 90 days to complete a new website project. Please note that full payment can be taken either in advance or at any stage during development. If the site is completed within the 90 day period then full payment will be due prior to launch.

Where there are  reasons why a 90 day development time is either impractical or unachievable, this will need to be agreed in advance in writing.

In all cases, the outstanding balance will need to be paid before the site goes live and you gain full access to your admin system. We do not offer extended credit or payment terms.

Marketing support

For other marketing services whether supplied on a contract or ongoing basis, or as a one-off task, full payment in advance is required before commencing work. For monthly contracts set up on an open-ended basis, we will discuss and agree payment terms with you prior to starting work.

Website hosting

Hosting fees will need to be set up as a monthly standing order starting from the next calendar month after launch of a new or existing website. We can issue you with an annual pro-forma invoice on request. If you choose to pay your hosting annually in advance then no refunds will be given in the event of business closure or other change in your circumstance during the year.

Please note that if hosting payments are not kept up for any reason then you run the risk of losing website and email services (if we are providing both).  Hosting arrangements are essential to maintain your website visibility on the internet, so must be in place at the time of launch.

If your hosting payments are discontinued for any reason we will take reasonable steps to contact you but if the payments do not restart within a 7 day period we will temporarily suspend your website and any email services associated with it. We also charge a £35+VAT admin fee to reinstate your web & email services once hosting payments resume.

Graphic design

We have a very competitively priced graphic design service.  For all graphic design work valued over £100, we require a deposit schedule as per the website development fees above. For work valued at less that £100 we ask for full payment on delivery of your artwork.

Printing services

For all print work carried out using our Print Management Service we require full cleared payment in advance of placing print orders on your behalf. If you are paying by Cheque, there may be a period of 3 – 5 working days before funds clear due to the banking system. Payments by BACS are therefore preferred as they clear immediately.

Website domain registration, domain and email setup and domain renewals

New domain registrations will be charged at cost. We charge a one-off fee of £10 + VAT to set up email accounts, email forwarding and other non standard services. If you would like to do these yourself, please let us know at the point of registration.

Our payment terms can be adapted to suit your individual needs by individual agreement in advance.

Late payment terms

We reserve the right to add interest to any unpaid invoices at a rate of 5% above the bank of england base rate and/or cessation of any and all services provided. An administration fee may be applied to reinstate your services.

We accept payments by credit or debit card (by phone), Bankers Draft, BACS or CHAPS payment.
